This award is to recognize each year, beginning in 2005, a person living or working in Rosedale who has done exceptional deeds to facilitate, improve or advance collaborative relationships among the different age groups of Rosedale residents.
The award is established in the name of the late Kenneth Haslam, co-founder of the Civic Association in 1946 and a recognized pioneer in the development of harmonious rapports among the different generations, among Rosedale residents of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
The priorities for the Rosedale Civic Associations are the facilitation
of effective collaborative relationships, particularly in the form of
special contribution to improved understanding among the different generations
of Rosedale residents.
The award may be given to a youth who provides exceptional assistance to senior citizens, an adult who develops enrichment programs for young or older residents, or a senior who assist the youth in special ways.
Nominations come from the membership; a review committee of five (5) persons with representatives of both clergy and business and three (3) officers of the Board will make the final selection.
In the Newsletter there will be periodic detailed announcements with a copy of the nominating form. To safeguard both the fairness and accuracy of the process, only one nomination may be submitted by each member of the Association.
