Community Territory

Rosedale is bordered on the North by Alden Manor section of the Village of Elmont (Nassau County), to the South by Jamaica Bay waterfront, at East by the Villages of North Valley Stream, Valley Stream and Woodmere (Nassau County), and at West by the neighboring South-Eastern Queens communities Laurelton and Springfield Gardens. Rosedale has five sub-sections which are described below.

Rosedale Citizen

1.-North Rosedale which is also referred to as “The Triangle”, bounded by Hook Creek, Brookville and Merrick Boulevards.

2.-Rosedale Proper also called Central Rosedale, bounded by Merrick Boulevard, Brookville Boulevard to Sunrise Highway, 228th Street from South Conduit to Idlewild Park boundaries, and Hook Creek Boulevard.

3.-South Rosedale, South of 147th Avenue, between 228th Street East and Francis Lewis Boulevard, and Hook Creek Boulevard, and Hook creek Boulevard towards Hungry Harbor Road up to 262nd Place.

4.-:Warnerville” section on the waterfront, home of the world-famous “Bay House Restaurant”, Brookville Boulevard south of Rockaway Boulevard.

5.-“Meadowmere” area, community by the water, Venise-style living in Rosedale, south of Rockaway Boulevard, opposite Five Towns Mall, up to Meyer Avenue.
